Join Fresh 105.9 at Taste of Lincoln Ave., July 26-27 in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood (North Lincoln Ave. between Fullerton and Wrightwood).
One of the city's largest and most popular summer celebrations, the Taste of Lincoln Avenue will be celebrating its 25th year in 2008.
The iconic event takes place over six city blocks on a major artery in the heart of Lincoln Park where high home values meet the DePaul University population. The area is the home of Chicago's original club scene and many of Chicago's oldest and favorite restaurants.
Taste of Lincoln Avenue began as a small neighborhood fundraiser and has grown to become the second largest street festival in the region. The event features 350 vendors and more than 40 music acts on five stages. Every music genre is represented: from blues and country to rock and folk. The event draws an upscale, educated audience of white collar professionals, singles and families.
There's also a one-block kids' area with entertainment, pony rides, a petting zoo and much more. And, in 2007, a new Wine Garden debuted featuring wine tastings and sales. |
